About Nim Stant

My story began long before the bestseller list.

USA Today Bestselling Author · Founder · Media Executive · Documentary Producer

I'm Nim Stant.

I'm an author, entrepreneur, mother, and someone who believes deeply in the power of a story to change a life.

My journey began in Thailand and eventually led me into publishing, television, documentary filmmaking, and building organizations dedicated to authors.

But the most meaningful part of my story isn't what I've achieved.

It's why I chose to build what I have.

The Beginning

I was once told I might never read or write like other children.

When I was just 18 months old, I fell from a second-story window. Following that accident, I was told that reading and writing might never come easily to me.

Today, I'm a USA Today bestselling author.

That part of my journey will never be lost on me.

I grew up in Thailand, where I learned the importance of discipline, perseverance, and finding strength in circumstances I couldn't always control.

Long before I became an entrepreneur, I found expression through dance. I eventually earned a master's degree in dance, an experience that shaped my understanding of creativity, dedication, and what it means to communicate beyond words.

I didn't know then where my life would lead.

I only knew I wanted to keep growing.

And sometimes, that is enough to begin.

The Journey

Building a new life taught me what resilience really means.

I moved to the United States without the language, connections, or business experience that might have made the journey easier.

I became a mother, taught yoga, and worked hard to create a life for my family.

There were years when I was teaching yoga and still struggling to make ends meet. Later, while building my business, I worked at Starbucks to help cover my car payment.

Those weren't the moments anyone would have called successful.

But they taught me things I still carry into every room today.

How to show up when things are uncertain.

How to keep learning when you don't have all the answers.

How to believe in something before anyone else can see it.

I learned that resilience isn't always dramatic.

Sometimes, it's simply getting up the next morning and continuing the work.

The Turning Point

Writing a book changed the direction of my life.

My journey into authorship began with Go All In, a book born from my experiences, lessons, and desire to share what I had learned.

Writing opened an entirely new world to me.

It led me into media, storytelling, and opportunities I had once only imagined.

I later wrote Thai Tiger, drawing on my experiences as an immigrant, mother, and entrepreneur. Becoming a USA Today bestselling author was a milestone I will always treasure.

But something else happened along the way.

I began to understand that publishing a book and building a future around that book were two very different journeys.

I met talented authors who had written extraordinary books but struggled to find readers, recognition, media opportunities, or meaningful connections within the industry.

I understood their frustration because I had experienced parts of that journey myself.

And I kept asking one question:

What if I could help create the opportunities I once wished I had?

That question changed everything.

Why I Built It

I didn't just want authors to publish books. I wanted their stories to travel further.

That belief led me to create International Impact Book Awards.

I wanted to build a platform where authors could be celebrated for their work and where meaningful stories could receive the recognition they deserved.

But recognition was only one part of the larger picture.

I saw a need for more connection between authors and readers.

More opportunities for authors to build their public presence.

More education about what happens after publication.

And more places where stories could come to life.

Over time, that vision grew into four organizations, each serving a different purpose.

Storytelling, Media & Film

The more I learned about storytelling, the more possibilities I began to see.

Books will always hold a special place in my heart.

But I also discovered the power of television, film, live events, and meaningful conversations to bring stories to new audiences.

My work has taken me into television studios, onto speaking stages, and behind the scenes of media productions.

I've had the opportunity to serve as a Regional Emmy® Awards Judge, speak on a TEDx stage, and work as a television host and media producer.

Through documentary projects such as Thai Tiger and Masters of Impact, I've continued exploring how real human experiences can connect with audiences beyond the written page.

I've also continued investing in my own development, including completing Harvard Medical School Executive Education's The Science of Leadership: The Brain, Resilience, and Mindfulness program.

I'm proud of these experiences.

But I don't see them as reasons to stop learning.

I see them as opportunities to bring everything I've learned back into the work I do.

Because the more we learn, the more we have to contribute.

The Next Chapter

I'm still writing. I'm still learning. And I'm still becoming.

Despite everything I've built, I remain an author at heart.

My newest book, Say Less, explores the power of preparation, listening, communication, and trust in business.

It's another chapter of what I've learned through experience.

And just like the authors I work with, I know that putting a book into the world takes courage.

Every new project reminds me what it feels like to start something, believe in it, and hope it reaches the people who need it.

I never want to lose that connection to the creative process.

Because it keeps me close to the very people I feel called to serve.

The Heart Behind the Work

Success means more when it creates possibilities for someone else.

I've never believed that success should be measured by recognition alone.

Recognition is meaningful. Financial success matters. Building something substantial is an achievement.

But I also believe in living a fulfilled life.

One grounded in purpose, relationships, spiritual well-being, emotional strength, physical health, and the freedom to keep growing.

Those values guide how I live, lead, and build.

I don't believe every author needs to become a business owner, a speaker, or a public figure.

Some authors want to inspire. Some want to educate. Some want to entertain. Others simply want their stories to find the right readers.

And I respect every one of those ambitions.

My purpose is not to decide what success should look like for another author.

My purpose is to help create more possibilities for them to discover it.
